Presented by Artists on the Bluff
Free for members of Artists on the Bluff and the Deer Path Art League
Join us for a thought-provoking artist talk with Kristin Ashley—an accomplished artist, writer, and speaker. Drawing from her recent article in the Chicago Tribune, Kristin will explore the emotional depth and hidden symbolism behind three iconic works of art: Van Gogh’s The Bedroom, Rossetti’s Beata Beatrix, and Monet’s Stacks of Wheat (End of Summer). She’ll also discuss how both making and experiencing art can enrich our everyday lives.
Kristin Ashley is the former president of Artists on the Bluff and holds a BFA in Studio Art, graduating with honors. Known for her deeply expressive, symbol-rich work inspired by nature and the mystical world, she also presents popular art appreciation programs throughout the Chicago area and contributes as a writer and graphic designer for the Chicago Tribune and other publications.
